Adult Foster Care (AFC)

We provide specialized care and assistance in a licensed residential setting. Services include 24-hour personal care, community living supports, and respite care for the following types of individuals:

  • Developmentally disabled
  • Mentally ill
  • Physically challenged
  • Aged persons who cannot live on their own, but do not need continuous nursing care
We follow Medicaid guidelines and provide care as identified in an individual's plan of service (IPOS). AFC sites are located in the county of Wayne.

I deeply value the services I receive from Maka. As the world knows, mental health services are in crisis. Hospitals are closing and if I didn't have CLS services I don't know where I would be. Maka makes sure that I have my medications each month and that my Medicaid spend down is met. They helped me to engage back into society when I was released from Walter Reuther Hospital. Maka has been like family to me.
